Cameron Jackson made a pair of free throws to cement the 83-81 victory for the Fort Wayne Champs over D2 at Lexington, Kentucky, and they advanced into the final 16 of The Basketball Tournament.

The Champs, made up of mostly former Mad Ants players, will play in the regional final at 2 p.m. Sunday on ESPN against a No. 1 seed, Loyalty is Love, in the $2-million winner-take-all tournament.

Jackson drew the foul on Mike Davis to get to the line, had 13 points and seven rebounds, and was 5 of 6 from the free-throw line.

Travis Leslie led the Champs with 17 points and seven rebounds. Rion Brown had 13 points.

D2, which had knocked off the region's second seed Friday, was paced by Stephaun Branch's 24 points and nine rebounds.

The Champs, a 3 seed, got 11 points apiece from Matt Bouldin and Julian Mavunga.

Former PFW star Frank Gaines' team, Team 23, was eliminated Friday at Greensboro, North Carolina.
