The IPFW men’s basketball team won their seventh straight game in a 63-47 win at Denver on Thursday.
The win was the Mastodons’ fourth straight on the road, a first for the program since becoming a Division I program in 2001.
IPFW (15-11, 8-5 Summit League) went on a 10-0 run in the first half capped by a free throw from Isaiah McCray to lead 24-16 with 2:50 left to play in the half. The Mastodons entered halftime up 28-23.
The Pioneers (10-16, 4-9) opened the second half on an 11-2 run before IPFW responded with a 16-0 run to go up 46-34 with 9:35 left to play.
Joe Edwards led the Mastodons with 17 points, Steve Forbes had 14 and Mo Evans added 10.
Brett Olson scored 18 points for Denver and Cam Griffin had 12 rebounds.
The Mastodons are currently tied with Oral Roberts in third place of the Summit League standings.
They face North Dakota State in Fargo, North Dakota at 3 p.m. Saturday.
