The final day of the regular season has arrived for the Summit League – and not much has been decided.
There are numerous scenarios regarding IPFW’s seeding for the conference tournament, which begins in Sioux Falls, S.D., next week.
Here’s a run down of the possibilities:
If IPFW is tied with both Oral Roberts and South Dakota, Oral Roberts is dropped out on the second tiebreaker because South Dakota and IPFW will have split with South Dakota State, and Oral Roberts was swept. It then goes to the individual tiebreaker with South Dakota, where IPFW holds the advantage because of the Denver sweep and South Dakota’s split.
If IPFW is tied with Oral Roberts, IPFW wins the tiebreaker because it split with South Dakota State.
If IPFW is tied with South Dakota (both teams win), IPFW wins the tiebreaker because it swept Denver and South Dakota split with the Pioneers.
If IPFW ties with South Dakota (both teams lose), IPFW wins the tiebreaker because it split with South Dakota State, and South Dakota was swept.
And on and on. Should be an exciting Saturday night in the Summit League.
