Purdue Fort Wayne men's basketball coach Jon Coffman announced the 2019-20 schedule on Thursday. The Mastodons will begin their campaign of a seventh consecutive winning season on Nov. 5 in Las Vegas for a match up with UNLV.
PFW will play 10 total games in a busy November, opening the season at home against Manchester on Nov. 7.
The rest of the month sees a trip to Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to face Southeast Missouri State on Nov. 10, a Mid-American Conference opponent in Miami (Ohio) on Nov. 13 at home, Stetson at home on Nov. 16 and away at Kent State on Nov. 19
The Mastodons will make the short drive to Columbus, Ohio on Nov. 22 to battle Ohio State for consecutive years. Ohio State won 107-61 last season. PFW will host Ohio Northern on Nov. 24 and Niagara on Nov. 27.
A visit to Grand Canyon is slated for Nov. 30, followed by Eastern Illinois at home on Dec. 4. The Mastodons will visit future Horizon League foe University of Illinois Chicago on Dec. 7 in Chicago, at home against Judson on Dec. 10 and will see another future Horizon League opponent in IUPUI on Dec. 14.
PFW's only other Power 5 meeting is with Iowa State on Dec. 22 in Ames, Iowa. The teams played once in 2003 with Iowa State winning 78-51.
Purdue Fort Wayne will open their final season in the Summit League on January 1 with a doubleheader against South Dakota.
The Mastodons went 18-15, 9-7 Summit League last season.
