Warriors repeat as WHAC golf champions
NORTHVILLE, Mich. – The No. 20-ranked Indiana Tech women’s golf repeated as WHAC regular season champion Friday at Northville Hills Golf Club with a first-place finish at the third and final WHAC Jamboree.
Tech posted a 36-hole score of 627 (308-319) to win their second straight tournament.
The Warriors beat out No. 9-ranked University of Northwestern Ohio by 15 strokes to win their eighth conference title by 17 strokes (1,893 to 1,910). Freshman Carissa Graft won her third straight tournament, and fourth of the season, with a two-day score of 147 (73-74) and was named the WHAC Golfer of the Year with a six-round score of 454 (161-146-147) and winning all three conference events.
Victoria Raffle finished second with a 152 (75-77) and earned First-Team All-Conference honors along with Kim Siercks, who took fourth at the final tournament of the fall season with a 161 (79-82). Cecilia Heck finished in a tie for ninth with a score of 167 (81-86) and was named to the All-Conference Second Team.
The jamboree wraps up the fall season for the Warriors, who will return to action in the spring semester.
