The No. 18-ranked Indiana Tech men’s hockey team fell to No. 4-ranked Michigan-Dearborn, 3-1, on Friday in WHAC action at the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse.
“Tonight was not our best effort,” head coach Frank DiCristofaro said a in news release. “With that said, we had several high quality scoring chances and didn’t capitalize. They got a couple odd bounces to go their way and that was the difference in the game.”
The Wolverines struck first in the first, but Cam Chabot knotted it up at 1 in the second as the Warriors. UM-Dearborn answered right back though with another goal at the 2:26 mark, while Sterling Cooper made it a 3-1 game with a power play goal to begin the third period with his second goal of the night.
Alex Potter and Cole Barney notched assists while Ryan O’Toole made 23 saves.
Tech (4-2-0, 2-1-0 WHAC) returns to action at 5:30 p.m. Saturday as they play host to UM-Dearborn in a rematch at SportONE/Parkview Icehouse.
