Warriors outlast Golden Eagles in 5-set battle
The Indiana Tech women’s volleyball team extended its winning streak to six matches Friday at the Schaefer Center as they defeated WHAC foe Cornerstone 3-2 (22-25, 25-23, 25-16, 26-28, 15-9).
Senior libero Madeline MacDonald went over the 2,000 career dig mark and finished match with a team-high 26. Olivia Niekamp had a match-high 18 kills, hit .289 and had three blocks while Amaya Anderson and Madelyn Omo each had 10 kills each, with the latter hitting .412. Madison Park dished out 34 assists and added 11 digs for the double-double.
Tech (20-6, 8-4 WHAC) returns to action at 1 p.m. Saturday as they play host to Aquinas in a conference battle.
