ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men’s cross country team finished third at the WHAC Championships Saturday at Allendale High School.
Jake Willison led the way with a runner-up finish as he crossed the finish line in 25:50.6, becoming just the second runner (Aaron Belcher, 2012, 2013) in program history to take second at the conference meet and tying for the highest finish ever by a Tech runner.
Kudzanai Karawira garnered Second-Team All-Conference honors with a time of 26:21.0 to finish in 12th while Jared Wells was 20th in 26:50.5. Justin Fleming finished in 22nd with a personal-best time of 26:54.0 while Jordan Freese crossed the finish line in 27:04.4 to take 24th.
Trevor Hamilton finished in 35th with a time of 27:32.0 while Phillip Selmer was 47th with a time of 28:12.3 to round out Tech’s lineup.
The Warriors will now wait to see if they will receive an at-large berth to the 2019 NAIA National Championships. The official list of qualifiers will be announced Nov. 12
