12 local players named to North All Stars football team

Twelve local players have been named to the North All Stars roster for the 53rd annual North/South All Star Game, which will be held July 12 at North Central in Indianapolis.

Carroll's Gaven Vogt was named to the team as a quarterback, and Bishop Luers's Jordan Pressley made the team as a wide receiver. Snider's Simon Dellinger was named as a tight end. Bishop Dwenger's Alex Kolkman made the team as a center, and Snider's Will Swartz will also play on the offensive line.

On the defensive side of the ball, Central Noble's Levi Leffers will play defensive tackle, and Woodlan's Isaac Meyer was named as a defensive end. Angola's Luke Horner was named as an interior lineback, and Logan Macklin of Adams Central and T.J. Tippmann of Bishop Dwenger both made the team at the outside linebacker/strong safety position. East Noble's Kaiden Harshberger was named as a cornerback. 

Wawasee's Brayden Johnson is the lone punter on the roster.

Bishop Dwenger head coach Jason Garrett will lead the 10-man coaching staff, which includes Saints assistant Casey Kolkman.
