Laban Davis completed 6 of 8 passes for 102 yards and two touchdowns and ran 14 times for 110 yards and two more scores to lead Eastside to a huge road upset, a 42-14 win over Churubusco, which came in undefeated and ranked No. 5 in Class A.
Blazers (2-2) receiver Lane Burns caught four passes for 95 yards and both of Davis's touchdowns, while Dax Holman and Max Firestine each rushed for a touchdown, as well.
Churubusco (3-1) leading rusher Jake Fulk had only 37 yards after averaging 240.3 in his first three games.
COLUMBIA CITY 38, HUNTINGTON NORTH 21: At Huntington North, Columbia City improved to 4-0 for the first time since 1991 behind 278 passing yards and four touchdowns from quarterback Greg Bolt.
CONCORDIA 49, BISHOP LUERS 21: At Bishop Luers, Brandon Davis went 12 for 16 for 242 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Cadets (2-2). Amir Drew ran for 107 yards and three scores and Concordia had five sacks.
SNIDER 42, SOUTH SIDE 0: At Snider, the Panthers (4-0) remained undefeated behind 428 rushing yards. Kai Lopez and Kameron Trotter each had at least 150 rushing yards and a touchdown, while Lenny Bennett ran for three scores.
CARROLL 42, NORTHROP 14: At Carroll, Chargers (3-1) quarterback Jeffrey Becker had 102 yards passing and 96 yards rushing while accounting for five total touchdowns. Four of those scores came through the air and three of them went to Layton Mitchell.
LEO 37, NEW HAVEN 14: At Leo, Jackson Barbour accounted for three touchdowns, throwing for two and running for a third, to keep the Lions (4-0) unbeaten. Leo's Peyton Wall ran for 147 yards and the game's first touchdown.
GARRETT 37, LAKELAND 34: At Lakeland, Seth Van Wagner rushed for 153 yards and two touchdowns, while teammate Clayton Fielden added 147 yards and two more scores for Garrett (2-2), which prevailed in a game with four lead changes.
BLUFFTON 13, WOODLAN 6: At Woodlan, Tigers quarterback Lukas Hunt threw a 79-yard touchdown pass to Kain Thornton and a 73-yard score to Kaden Gerber to lead his team to 3-1.
CONCORD 43, WAWASEE 7: At Wawasee, Warriors (1-3) quarterback Parker Young tossed a 70-yard touchdown pass to LaShaun Morris for Wawasee's only score.
