Concordia boys, Carroll girls No. 1 heading into state meet

The Concordia boys and Carroll girls cross country teams are ranked No. 1 in the final coaches poll of the season after winning their respective semistate races. Both teams have been atop the rankings for most of the season.

The Homestead boys remain ranked No. 8 and the Homestead girls are back in the Top 25, appearing at No. 11. The West Noble boys moved up two spots to No. 15 and Columbia City jumped nine spots to No. 16. Bellmont fell out of the Top 25 after failing to qualify for the state meet.

The Concordia girls fell a spot to No. 19 and Bishop Dwenger girls fell out of the rankings after their season ended at the New Haven semistate. 

The state meet will be held Saturday in Terre Haute.
