Former Homestead, Huntington North stars named to Silver Anniversary team

Candace (Crawford) Hall of Homestead and Abbi (Wilson) Rosen of Huntington North are among the 18 players named to the 2022 Women's Silver Anniversary Team, which recognizes outstanding high school players from the 1997 graduating class. The team will be honored at the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame’s 20th Women’s Awards Banquet on April 30.

Hall was a 1997 All-Star who averaged 16.7 points and 14.1 rebounds for the Spartans as a senior. She averaged a double-double all four years of her high school career and won four sectional championships with Homestead. She went on to Purdue and was a part of the Boilermakers' 1999 national championship and 2001 national runner-up teams. 

Rosen averaged 17.1 points and 10.4 rebounds as a senior. She graduated as Huntington North's leader in rebounds at 901 and recorded the school's first triple-double with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 13 blocks. She won four sectional titles and three regional titles with the Vikings and was a part of the 1995 state title team. She played 66 games over three seasons for South Florida.
