Homestead and Leo fall, Eastside rises in boys poll

Central Noble boys basketball remains the top-ranked team in Class 2A, receiving seven of 10 first-place votes. The Cougars have opened the season 8-0. 

Linton-Stockton is No. 2 and received two first-place votes, while Blackhawk Christian (8-0) is third and received one first-place vote. 

Eastside, which is 9-0 for the first time in school history, has inched up a spot to No. 5 in Class 2A. The Blazers are tied for fifth with Monroe Central (8-0). 

In Class 4A, Homestead (7-3) dropped three spots to No. 8 after falling to Fishers last week. Zionsville (8-0) is the unanimous No. 1. 

In Class 3A, Leo (6-1) dropped one spot to No. 5 despite being idle this week. Mishawaka Marian (7-1) is the new No. 1 this week – despite receiving just three first-place votes – after previous No. 1 Connersville (9-1) suffered its first loss. 

North Daviess (9-0) remains the No. 1 team in Class A.
