Bellmont wrestling wins team state title

Bellmont, ranked first in Class 2A in the IHSWCA poll, defended the ranking with a championship performance Saturday, winning the Class 2A Team State Duals at Martinsville.
The Braves knocked off Jay County in the championship, 56-15. Oak Hill knocked off Wawasee for third, 50-27, in the final round, while Garrett finished eighth.
In Class 1A, also at Martinsville, Adams Central took fifth, handling Cascade in the dual for fifth place, 48-25. Crown Point claimed the Class 4A title at Brownsburg, while Columbus East won the Class 3A title at Franklin Community.
