Wayne Kreiger became the fifth Indiana high school girls basketball coach to reach 600 career wins as the Starfires beat Union City 62-46 on Thursday. The Starfires improved to 12-6 and have now won four straight since getting knocked out of the ACAC Tournament by Woodlan in the first round.
EASTBROOK 66, BLUFFTON 27 – At Bluffton, the Tigers (6-12) lost their fifth game in a row. Bluffton trailed 15-4 at the end of the first quarter and the deficit continued to grow from there. Monroe Heller led the Tigers with 10 points.
MACONAQUAH 66, WHITKO 51 – At Whitko, the Wildcats losing streak stretched to three games even though Whitko (4-14) led 27-26 at halftime.
LAKEWOOD PARK CHRISTIAN 80, CLINTON CHRISTIAN 37 – At Clinton Christian in Goshen, the Panthers (3-7) got back in the win column with a commanding win over the Couriers. Mason Posey led the Panthers with 21 points, Carter Harman had 16 and Cameron Hindle scored 11.
Lakewood Park has also had its game against Heritage rescheduled for Tuesday, with JV starting at 6 p.m.
