Second gun control rally slated

The following press release is being printed verbatim.

Fort Wayne students have created a second gun control rally in solidarity with “March for Our Lives,” a nationwide march occurring on March 24th, 2018. The Fort Wayne march will take place at the Allen County Courthouse from 2:00PM-4:00PM. Students are currently assembling a team to help make this event bigger and even more impactful than last Sunday's rally. Students on the team so far include students from Homestead High School, Canterbury High School, and IPFW. Students from other schools are currently being recruited.

The organizer for last Sunday’s rally, Brandon Blumenherst, announced the event late Monday night through a Facebook post on the Students Demand Action event page.

“Hello everyone!

I want to thank you all for attending this event [Students Demand Action] once again. We are making an impact. I have made it my personal mission to keep this in the news until we see definitive action from our state and/or federal government.

That being said, I am happy to say we are planning another event in solidarity with "March for Our Lives" on March 24th. We are recruiting a team of students to help make this event as successful as it can be. We need everyone who showed up on Sunday to come to this and bring more people! We must show that we will not let this go away until we see action!

In Solidarity,

Brandon Blumenherst”
