3Rivers Federal Credit Union said Thursday it will spend $1.7 million and construct a new branch in the East State Village area.
The 2,800-square-foot, freestanding branch will be at the southwest corner of East State Boulevard and Crescent Avenue, the credit union said in a news release.
Groundbreaking is expected this summer, with a branch opening planned early next year.
“This is the ideal location to complement our 14 other full service, stand-alone branches, and it will fill the gap left by the closure of our limited service grocery store branches," Don Cates, 3Rivers president and CEO said in a statement.
