A woman and a child were found dead Wednesday at a Skyline Pass home on Fort Wayne’s north side.

Few details were immediately available Wednesday about the deaths of two people – a woman and child – in northwest Fort Wayne.

City police officers discovered the deceased individuals about 8:35 a.m. while responding to a report of a shooting at a home in the Lincoln Village neighborhood, which is east of Coldwater Road between Wallen and Cook roads, police department spokesman Sgt. Jeremy Webb said in a news release.

It was unclear what happened at the Skyline Pass residence, police said.

“This investigation is fluid,” Webb said, “and all leads are being followed.”

The Allen County coroner’s office is expected to release the identities of the deceased along with the cause and manner of their deaths.

Police described the child as a juvenile but didn’t provide the age or gender.

The coroner has so far ruled one 2023 death as a homicide. Jocelyn Bolf, 18, of Fort Wayne, died from multiple gunshot wounds on Jan. 3. She was shot in the 2500 block of South Anthony Boulevard in southeast Fort Wayne.
