A second former employee charged in federal court with defrauding defense contractor BAE Systems will plead guilty.
David P. Rinderle Jr. is one of 23 former employees of the company, which has offices in Fort Wayne, charged with fraud for allegedly stealing money from BAE through a tuition assistance program.
He is scheduled to plead guilty April 16 in U.S. District Court in Fort Wayne.
Latonya D. Smith was the first former employee to agree to plead guilty on March 22. A plea hearing is set for Friday.
Rinderle allegedly stole nearly $31,000 through the program, which provided upfront payments to employees rather than reimbursements.
