Kosciusko police to conduct sobriety checkpoint
The Journal Gazette
Several northeast Indiana law enforcement agencies will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint and doing roving patrols late Friday and early Saturday.
The checkpoints and patrols are part of yearlong statewide project aimed at reducing alcohol-related crashes, deaths and injuries, a statement from Kosciusko County DUI Taskforce Indiana said today.
The checkpoints and patrols will be from 10 p.m. Friday until 2 a.m. Saturday, it said.
Law enforcement agencies involved include the county sheriff's department and police from Mentone, Milford, North Webster, Silver Lake, Syracuse, Warsaw and Winona Lake.
The checkpoints and patrols are made possible, the statement said, through grants from the Governor's Council on Impaired and Dangerous Driving.
