Power outage affecting Indiana 3 signals

The Journal Gazette

A widespread power outage is affecting traffic signals along Indiana 3 in Allen, DeKalb and Noble counties, Indiana State Police said this afternoon.

Drivers are asked to use caution and patience when approaching an intersection, state police at Fort Wayne said in a statement. If the signal isn't working, the intersection should be treated as a four-way stop, the statement said.

Shoftly after 2 p.m., Indiana Michigan Power reported about 800 customers without power in the three counties -- 461 in Allen, 195 in Noble and 141 in DeKalb.

The National Weather Service says high winds until 7 p.m. could cause issues with power today.
