Demarcus L. Benson admitted Friday in federal court to stealing from a local defense contractor through the company's tuition assistance program.
He is the 12th former BAE Systems employee to plead guilty in U.S. District Court in Fort Wayne to wire fraud in the case.
Thirty-one workers are charged in the alleged scheme.
The company allowed upfront payments to employees who signed up for college classes. Benson and others admitted never taking classes.
Benson pocketed $24,000, according to an indictment returned in December. A plea agreement calls for him to pay back the money.
