Authorities: Shootout at Ohio home leaves 2 dead in driveway

Associated Press

YELLOW SPRINGS, Ohio – A shootout on a driveway at a southwestern Ohio home left two people dead Wednesday, though it wasn't clear what sparked the gunfire.

The Greene County Sheriff's office said deputies went to the Yellow Springs home around 11 a.m. after receiving a 911 call about shots fired. They found two bodies in the driveway, near the street.

It appeared that several shots were fired during the incident, authorities said, but they did not provide further details on what type of weapons were used in the shooting.

Authorities said there were people in the home when the shooting occurred – including the 911 caller – but no other injuries were reported.

The names of the two people killed and further information about them were not immediately disclosed.
