Officers investigate boy's seizure

A 2-year-old boy was rushed to a hospital Wednesday around 7:30 p.m. after he was reported unconscious and having seizures.

Fort Wayne police went to a residence in the 600 block of Walnut Street to assist paramedics.

Paramedics provided medical attention before the boy was taken to a hospital in serious condition.

On Thursday, the case was still under investigation, according to John Chambers, Fort Wayne Police Department public information officer.

Arrest made in Kosciusko robbery

Kosciusko County officers arrested Jesse James Roberson, the remaining suspect accused in the Tuesday morning armed robbery of a North Webster residence.

Sheriff's deputies found Roberson, 19, of North Webster on Wednesday shortly after 7 p.m. inside a residence at 9639 E. Seneca Lane in Cromwell, according to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department.

Information and anonymous tips led to Roberson at the Papakeechie Estates. At the residence, officers found drug paraphernalia and weapons reportedly stolen during the armed robbery. At the arrest, Roberson had a chrome handgun in his possession, the release said.

Roberson was charged with robbery with a deadly weapon. Roberson is also being held on a probation violation warrant from Michigan.

Roberson is being held on a prosecutorial hold in the Kosciusko County Jail.

Defiance police make meth arrest

A Defiance, Ohio, man has been charged with possession of methamphetamine in Defiance County, the county sheriff's department said Thursday.

Danny L. Stecher, 58, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at his home, 06273 Williams Center Road, and charged with felony possession and having weapons under disability, the sheriff's department said in a statement.

Police said they found more than 57 grams of what they believe to be meth, along with a small amount of cocaine and several firearms.

Another person was charged with misdemeanors. Both were taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio near Stryker.
