Two men found inside a submerged car late Monday have been identified.

Tony L. Frecker, 32, of New Haven and Luke A. Gerardot, 35, of Monroeville were pulled from a car submerged in a pond in the 6600 block of Hoagland Road about 11 p.m., the Allen County coroner said Tuesday.

The official cause and manner of death has not been determined until an autopsy is completed, the coroner said.

Autopsies for the two men are scheduled.

The deaths remain under investigation.

Help in identifying robber sought

The Fort Wayne Police Department is asking the public to help identify a suspect in Monday morning's robbery at International Designs at 1020 Goshen Ave.

About 11:30 a.m., a man brandished a handgun and robbed the business of an undisclosed amount of cash. The robber wore a mask on his face, was white and wearing sweatpants and a coat and held a silver handgun.

The clerk said she had trouble opening the cash register because she was afraid and the robber became upset with her. Then he opened it himself. When he saw the clerk's purse on the chair in the back, he also took her money even after the clerk begged him to let her keep it because it was the only money she had.

The robber said he was sorry and that his children were dying. He took her money and fled out the door.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the photo is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 260-436-7867.
