Truck crash cause of DeKalb I-69 closure
No serious injuries resulted from a crash in DeKalb County that totaled a pickup truck, police said.
Northbound lanes of Interstate 69, however, was closed for over two hours, according to dispatchers.
Officers said a semi was stopped in traffic near mile marker 337, between the Waterloo and Ashley exits, about 5 p.m. Tuesday. An oncoming Nissan Titan driven by Eugena Watson, 38, of Hudson rear-ended the stopped semi, police said. She was trapped inside the vehicle before being cut out by emergency responders.
The pickup driver was flown to Parkview Regional Medical Center and listed in fair condition and the semi driver was not hurt.
