At the request of the Allen County prosecutor's office, Indiana State Police are investigating an alleged disturbance at the Three Rivers Festival that involved Allen County Sheriff David Gladieux.
The incident occurred Tuesday night.
“At this time, I can confirm the Allen County prosecutor's office did request us to investigate an alleged complaint that was initially reported to the Fort Wayne Police Department,” Brian Walker, spokesman for the Indiana State Police, said Wednesday.
“Until that initial report gets filed, I don't know (if) there will be an official release until then,” Walker added.
Robyn Niedzwiecki, spokeswoman for the prosecutor's office, said in a text message Wednesday that the office could “provide no further comment or any details. The incident is under investigation.”
Gladieux was re-elected last November to a second term as the county sheriff. Campaigning on his record, he defeated Democratic challenger Philip Davis in the general election.
