A Fort Wayne man was charged Monday with rape, battery with a deadly weapon and strangulation in connection with an alleged crowbar beating.
According to court documents, Douglas Foy, 54, contacted the victim Friday about hanging out as friends.
About 7 p.m., Foy allegedly transported the victim to his house and asked her to perform oral sex. The victim told police she was reluctant at first, but agreed.
Foy allegedly became frustrated, prompting the pair to take a short break, after which Foy allegedly asked the victim to have sex.
“The victim told the defendant several times that she was not interested in having sex with him,” court documents state. “The defendant became angry and grabbed a crowbar and struck the victim one time in the back of her head.”
Foy then allegedly pinned the victim down on a sofa and forced the crowbar across her throat, also striking her in the left rib area with the crowbar. While the victim was pinned down, Foy allegedly grabbed her neck with both hands and squeezed tightly.
“The victim pled for the defendant to stop but he continued to assault her. As the victim struggled, the defendant struck her in the vaginal area with the crowbar,” court documents state. “The victim advised she just went limp to avoid the defendant hurting her any further.”
As a result of the attack, court documents state the victim suffered pain and swelling to the back of her head and also had pain to her throat, left rib area and vaginal area.
Foy's next court hearing is Thursday.
