An 80-year-old Fort Wayne man has been identified as the victim of a two-car crash at Dupont and Pine Mills roads last week, the Allen County coroner's office said Monday.

William A. Voirol died about 12:15 a.m. Sunday from blunt force injuries because of a motor vehicle crash, the coroner's office said in a statement. His death was ruled accidental.

Voirol was driving a vehicle involved in the crash about 7:40 a.m. Jan. 6, the statement said.

He was taken to a hospital, where he remained until his death.

Voirol's death is the second motor vehicle fatality in Allen County this year. The crash remains under investigation by Fort Wayne police and the coroner's office.
