Man shot dead at Villages of Hanna

Jamie Duffy | The Journal Gazette

Police are looking for two suspects likely involved in the killing of a man today at the Villages of Hanna apartment complex in the 1300 block of Greene Street.

The shooting that occurred shortly after noon was allegedly perpetrated by two suspects who rode into the apartment complex on bicycles and left on foot.

"It was either one or two suspects. We're not positive," said Chris Felton, Fort Wayne Police Department public information officer. "Either one or two came on bicycle and the bicycle was left on the scene."

Police are continuing their investigation, Felton said. One possible help might be surveillance cameras at the apartment complex. There are also cameras installed at a nearby library and a couple of businesses, he added.

No further description of the victim or the suspects was available.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FWPD at 427-1222 or Crime Stoppers at 436-7867.
