Indiana Tech puts out hockey dates

The Indiana Tech men's ice hockey team has released its schedule for the 2019-20 season, head coach Frank DiCristofaro announced.

After spending the 2018-19 season as members of the North American Intercollegiate Hockey Association, where they won the 2019 NAIHA National Tournament in March, the Warriors will return to the American Collegiate Hockey Association and compete in Division I, where they spent the first four years of their existence in 2014-18. They will remain in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference.

Tech opens the season against foe Davenport University on Sept. 27. The Panthers return to Fort Wayne one week later on Oct. 4 to battle the Warriors again on homecoming. The Warriors host Eastern Michigan on Oct. 5 to conclude homecoming weekend.

Tech will hit the road for the next seven weekends, battling conference foes in home-and-home series. The team will start off WHAC play against Aquinas on Oct. 11-12 before taking on UM-Dearborn on Oct. 18-19 and Lawrence Tech on Oct. 25-26.

Tech will take on Cleary on Nov. 1-2, Rochester on Nov. 8-9 and Concordia on Nov. 15-16 in conference action before facing off with former Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League opponent Toledo on Nov. 22-23 in a home-and-home matchup.

The 2020 WHAC Tournament will be hosted by Tech for the second time Feb. 28-March 1 at SportONE/Parkview Ice House.
