Saints win Angola Sectional

Bishop Dwenger freshman Amy Frazier earned medalist honors at the Angola girls golf sectional at Zollner Golf Course with a 6-over-par 77, leading the Saints to the team title with a score of 377.

Leo was a close second with a team score of 383, led by third-place finisher Isabelle Baldwin, who shot an 83.

DeKalb was third at 391.

Angola's Teryn Stanley finished second with a score of 78. 

EAST NOBLE SECTIONAL: At Cobblestone Golf Course in Kendallville, Columbia City finished third with a team score of 355 and will advance to next week's regional tournament.

The Eagles were led by third-place finisher Kaitlyn Hoag, who shot a 4-over-par 76. She trailed medalist Braedyn O'Dell of Northridge by three shots.

Hannah Godfrey of West Noble finished second with a score of 74.

WARSAW SECTIONAL: At Stonehenge Golf Club in Winona Lake, the Tigers finished third with a team score of 372 to move on to regionals. Marie Frazzetta led Warsaw with a score of 87 and Grayson Kilburn shot 91. Delaney Byron and Sydney Lancaster each shot 97. NorthWood won the team title with a score of 316, and Wawasee was second.

CARROLL 3, ELKHART CENTRAL 0: At Carroll, Isaac Timmer put the Chargers (11-2-1) up with a goal in the 27th minute off an assist by Peyton Fosnough.

A minute into the second half, Chase Hartzog scored on a penalty kick. The Chargers went up by three goals in the 60th minute when Hartzog score again, this time with an assist from Fosnough.
