Austin builds big lead, tops Ants

Trey McKinney Jones was back with the Mad Ants after the Indiana Pacers didn't give him a second 10-day contract, and he was in the lineup Sunday in a 126-117 loss to the Austin Spurs in Texas.

McKinney Jones had 10 points, four rebounds and two steals for the Mad Ants.

Jamil Wilson led Fort Wayne (25-16) with 27 points and eight rebounds.

Jarrod Uthoff had 18 points and eight rebounds. DeQuan Jones had 16 points.

Austin (27-16) was paced by Jeff Ledbetter's 24 points.

Austin opened the game with a 46-27 run and led 79-58 at halftime.

Ike Anigbogu, still on assignment from the Pacers, had 15 points.

Notes: Walt Lemon Jr. got a second 10-day deal with New Orleans, so he remained away from the Mad Ants. ... Edmond Sumner is still on bereavement leave.
