Walt Lemon Jr. scored 28 points and JaKeenan Gant added 27, as the Mad Ants defeated the Capital City Go-Go 128-126 Friday in Washington, D.C., in front of 450 fans at the Entertainment and Sports Arena.
The Mad Ants, who scored 42 of the final 71 points, won for the sixth time in seven games.
The Mad Ants led 126-125 after Capital City's Jerian Grant made a 3-pointer. C.J. Wilcox was fouled by Phil Booth with 5.1 seconds remaining, and Wilcox made both free throws to cement the victory.
Lemon made 9 of 15 shots, and Gant made 11 of 19.
Ben Moore added 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Mad Ants (9-11), who play today at Canton, Ohio.
Wilcox also had 15 points for Fort Wayne, which trailed 37-24 after the first quarter.
Capital City (9-10) was led by Mike Cobbins' 29 points and nine rebounds. Jalen Jones added 25 points.
Booth had 22 and Grant had 21.
