Bowen scores 27 to help Mad Ants end 3-game skid

Brian Bowen II had 21 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Mad Ants to a 112-106 victory Friday night over the Westchester Knicks in front of a crowd of 1,896 at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, New York.

The victory snapped a three-game losing streak.

Stephan Hicks added 19 points and 11 rebounds for Fort Wayne (18-19). He was 1 for 1 from 3-point range and is one 3-pointer back of Rod Wilmont's 225 for second in franchise history. Ramon Harris is the franchise leader with 227.

Scoochie Smith and Ben Moore had 16 points apiece for the Mad Ants.

Westchester (16-21), which has lost five consecutive games, was paced by Kadeem Allen's 23 points and Lamar Peters' 22.

The Mad Ants took an early 16-4 lead on Moore's floating jump shot, and Bowen made it 40-30 on a jump shot with 9:34 remaining in the second quarter.

The Knicks got within one point, at 53-52, with 2:49 remaining in the quarter on a Peters 3-pointer. But the Mad Ants had a 61-54 lead at halftime, paced by Hicks' 12 points.

The Knicks took a 70-69 lead on Andrew White III's 3-pointer with 7:57 left in the third quarter, but it was soon up to a 91-82 Fort Wayne lead on a Hicks 3-pointer.
